雾是漂浮在低空的细小水珠。由于大地与空气间的温差,从地表蒸发出来的水分子受到冷空气的影响,凝聚成大小不同的水珠,大水珠在地表聚集形成露水,细小的水珠漂浮在低空形成雾,在这些小水珠中溶解了一些地表面的可溶性有害物质,如各种酸、碱、盐、胺、苯、酚类等,同时还带有尘埃、病原微生物等固态微粒。如果迷雾终日不散,空气中的污染物就会迅速增加。所以,俗话说的“雾中晨跑,自寻烦恼”是有科学道理的。
  当人们在跑步锻炼时,呼吸的次数和深度都较平时加大了,大量地吸入浓雾中的有害物质,就会发生气管炎、咽喉炎、鼻炎等呼吸道疾病和一些过敏性疾病。由于活动时呼吸加快,耗氧量增加,而雾中过多的水分会妨碍肺泡正常换气,从而造成机体组织缺氧,特别是脑组织,使肌肉张力减退,产生疲劳、头晕、头痛、胸闷、气急等。雾天空气湿度大、气压低,皮肤散热慢,易使人感到闷热和周身不适,引起感冒。
