一般是春天调肝,夏天调心。因为从人与自然的关系讲,肝“喜条达而恶抑郁”的特性与春季蓬勃伸展的自然现象一致,所以在春季阳气生发之季人也要与之相应,要“夜卧早起,缓步于庭,披发宽衣,舒缓形体”,多在户外活动,将身心融入自然之中,使精神情志随着春季的生发之气而舒畅愉悦,以使其利于肝气的疏泄条达。可是从肝脏与人体内脏的关系讲,在情绪的波动方面,肝与心的关系最密切,炎热的天气对这两个脏器的影响最大。

夏天为全年最热的季节,而炎热的天气,不但影响人的体能,而且干扰人的情绪。“肝为刚脏,在志为怒”。夏天在强烈的光照下,人的肝气、肝火、心火都很旺盛,气血极易上冲,极易与酷烈的气候相呼应而产生愤怒情绪。所以,夏天要悉心调理肝和心的功能。有心脑血管疾病者、心理疾病者、野外作业或高空作业者、年事已高者、平时身体虚弱者、脾气暴躁者、怀有身孕者,一定要使自己的头脑保持冷静,不可动辄愤愤不平,要经常保持“清凉”的心理状态,烦躁时卧床休息片刻或随时饮用一杯冷开水,即可缓解一下恼怒,调适一下心理。夏季烦躁易怒严重者,还可购服丹栀逍遥丸以缓解。夏天还要低调处理一些烦心、劳神、棘手的事。

此外,因“汗为心之液”,夏天在暑热的逼迫下,人会昼夜不停地出汗,以致心阴不足,心失所养而出现心悸、气短、疲乏、口渴、少食等症状。素体欠佳者可适当口服麦冬、五味子,通过补气、敛阴、生津液而养心。也可服用麦味地黄丸一盒或两盒以滋阴、补气、养心。
