2013年5月8日下午，医院在行政楼学术报告厅召开第二届职工代表大会。院领导班子成员和职工代表、列席代表、特邀代表139人参加了会议。
  大会在庄严的国歌声中拉开了序幕。院长熊悦安致开幕词并向大会作了题为《拼搏奋进 科学务实 为打造国家医疗服务中心而努力》的工作报告。熊院长指出，今年我们将以武汉市打造国家医疗卫生服务中心为契机，着力加强医疗质量管理；进一步对医疗结构进行调整，实行专业细分差异化发展；加强信息化建设；打造美丽医院；进一步改善民生，提高干部职工对医院的认同感。努力将医院建设成学科结构先进、传染病诊疗技术一流、医院环境优美、医疗装备完备、医院管理科学的中部领先的传染病医疗救治中心。随后，陈慧冬同志作了《医院第一届工会委员会工作报告》。
大会审议表决通过了《医院行政工作报告》、《第一届工会委员会工作报告》。选举了新一届院工会委员会、女职工委员会和工会经费审查委员会、工会主席及工会副主席。
  党委书记王先广致闭幕词，他对医院第一届工会工作给予充分肯定，并希望新一届工会在院党委的领导下，进一步推动和完善工会建设，认真履行工会职责，使工会真正成为“职工之家”。
最后，大会在国际歌声中圆满闭幕。
